Hydrocal Oils

Produced at our Princeton, Louisiana Refinery

Hydrocal Naphthenic Base Oils are produced exclusively by the Calumet Lubricants Co. in a multistage hydrotreating process operating at pressures above 2500 psi. This process offers the unique ability to produce naphthenic base oils that meet currently established performance standards as well as those to be developed in the future. The Hydrotreating system enhances oil quality by selectively saturating aromatic oil molecules and converting them to naphthenes or paraffins. Further quality assurance practices employed by Calumet for crude oil selection and subsequent refining processes promote consistent uniformity and product performance.

Hydrocal Oils are offered in a broad range of viscosities from 36 SUS @ 100° F to 3000 SUS @ 100° F. Since all Hydrocal oils are severely hydrotreated they do not require labeling as carcinogenic under the OSHA Hazard Communication Standard.
